In the midst of reading The Shining (and several other books) the library sent me the next novel in the Pretty Little Liars series, “Unbelievable.” If you’ve read my other reviews about this series you already know that the books are television series don’t run completely parallel to one another. What was exciting about this one was that it ends up in the same (or almost same) place as the second season of the television show. With the revelation of who “A” truly is. Or does it?
Since the series continues on, the person we a led to believe is “A” is obviously not the only one. The mystery now is are they working together, or is there something even more sinister at work here? I can’t wait to get the next book in the series to find out.
Originally I had planned to return to The Shining after finishing this book, but ended up getting turned on to another book the other day.
Quitter is written by Jon Acuff, and is a comedic self-help book about the best way to leave your day job for you dream job. So many of us are working at jobs that we’ve settled for, instead of pursuing our dreams. Acuff talks about why you shouldn’t just quit your job to pursue your dreams, but should plan an exit route to your dreams while still being able to pay your mortgage. I’ve only read one chapter, and can’t wait to delve further into this book.
So Pretty Little Liars fans, did you figure out “A’s” identity before the big reveal? What tipped you off? Feel free to let me know in the comments below!
