The Walking Dead Returned With Quiet Premiere Episode Belying the Quiet Before the Storm

After a slowly paced third season, AMC’s The Walking Dead returned this week with a phenomenal new episode, “30 Days Without an Incident.” While this premiere episode was slower paced than the previous premieres, it was still very much entertaining to watch. Not only did we learn what the survivors have been up to over the past six months since the finale, but we got a chance to get to know a bit about the new characters, and were left wondering if the zombie virus has finally evolved and become airborne. New characters aren’t the only changes on the show. Writer Scott Gimple has stepped up as showrunner this season, and the premiere episode allowed all the characters to have a bit of screen time, and managed to show how much they’ve grown. (More…)
