On Da Vinci’s Demons, The Most Obvious Move is Rarely the Cleverest

Leonardo’s chase after the Book of Leaves may be moving at a snail’s pace, but it adds to the realism of Da Vinci’s Demons. Now armed with a crew Leo tries to reconstruct the treasure map from memory, while attempting to placate the superstitious new crew. Riario has a crisis of faith as he struggles with the man he’s become. Lucrezia pays a visit to her father and fills Lupo in on her family’s ancient history. Meanwhile, Lorenzo and Piero travel through the Italian countryside in the hopes of soliciting the King of Naples to their cause.  Everyone seemed to be grappling with their identities in light of their current actions. Does the ends always justify the means when the lives of others are at stake, and are there some lines that never should be crossed? Heavy stuff, but would we expect anything less when dealing with our Renaissance man? Of course not! So let’s dive into episode 204, and discuss “The Ends of the Earth.” (More…)
