Da Vinci’s Demons Channeled Indiana Jones as Leonardo and Riario Entered the Vault of Heaven

All season long we’ve been waiting to discover what lies behind the doors to the Vault of Heaven. On this week’s episode of Da Vinci’s Demons we finally learned the answer. Nothing. At least nothing Leonardo and Riario were hoping to find. Since season 1 both men have desired to get their hands on the Book of Leaves, and while the boys have yet to discover the fabled book, we at least have learned its whereabouts. While Leo and Riario solve the Vault’s mysteries, back in Rome Mercuri holds the Book in his hands and tries to uncover its mysteries. Meanwhile, Lucrezia finally arrives in Istanbul hoping the Sultan will help help free her father from his prison, only to wind up imprisoned herself. Back in Florence, Clarice and Carlo continue to enjoy each other’s company, but reputation and plots threaten to put a crimp in their newfound romance. “The Vault of Heaven” showed each of the characters dealing with monumental situations, only to find themselves in immense danger by episode’s end. How they all resolve their current predicaments will undoubtedly be entertaining, but we’ll have to wait until next Saturday to see what happens next.
