The stunning conclusion to the internationally acclaimed Half Bad trilogy, Half Lost tells the story of a dangerous world of witches at war, and the young man caught in the middle.
Nathan Byrn is running again. The Alliance of Free Witches has been all but destroyed. Scattered and demoralized, constantly pursued by the Council's Hunters, only a bold new strategy can save the rebels from total defeat. They need the missing half of Gabriel's amulet - an ancient artifact with the power to render its bearer invincible in battle.
But the amulet's guardian - the reclusive and awesomely powerful witch Ledger - has her own agenda. To win her trust, Nathan must travel to America and persuade her to give him the amulet. Combined with his own Gifts, the amulet might just be enough turn the tide for the Alliance and end the bloody civil war between Black and White witches once and for all...
Why I’m Waiting
I’ve been hooked on Sally Green’s Half Bad Trilogy ever since I first cracked open Half Bad. Over the course of two books I’ve read about a young witch, Nathan, who’s been persecuted for his parentage. While it’s not his fault he’s the product of a White Witch and a Black Witch, the horrors Nathan suffered at the hands of those who claim to be good made him someone I’ve wanted to root for. At times the series can be a tad difficult to read due to the nature of some of the scenes, Nathan’s relationships with those around him have kept me turning the pages. After the way Half Wild ended, I’ve been dying to discover what Nathan plans to do next, and how Gabriel will be involved. The upside of waiting until March for the final installment? I’ll have time to read the first two books again so I can remember everything I may have forgotten.
