THE WEEK IN REVIEW: “Forever Young?” (FEBRUARY 28TH-March 5th)

The Week in Review

I decided that I would do a weekly recap, and link up with The Sunday Post, which is a weekly meme hosted by Kimba @ hosted by Caffeinated Book Reviewer, that was inspired in part by In My Mailbox. It’s a post to recap the past week, showcase books and things we have received and share news about what is coming up for the week on our blog. Another week that seemed to fly by, and yet I kept passing out at crazy early times. I guess I’m not as young as I think I am, because pulling a 24-hour movie marathon last Saturday kicked my butt.

Aside from finishing my report cards, sending out parent/teacher conference appointment forms, and attempting to complete my 5th graders’ Fitnessgram testing for the state, I don’t feel I was very productive. At least not in my personal life. I did exercise one day this week, and will return to my volleyball league to play a few games later today. At school we celebrated Read Across America week, and that was a hoot. My favorite day is still pajama day. The most comfortable day of the school year 🙂 I also had fun on Crazy Hat/Hair Day, and on Twin Day. Other than that, there’s not much to report.

  1. That sounds like a busy week even if it was all work stuff. Hope this is a good week, and a 24 hour movie marathon does sound fun. Not sure I’d make it all the way through! 🙂

I read your review of The Passenger since that one is next on my list or maybe second, depending on my mood. Sounds great! I’m a little leery of unreliable narrators but I’ve heard so much good stuff about this one I’m stoked for it. And I’ve never seen The Americans although I think it looks good.

I always enjoy unreliable narrators. Trying to figure out what’s real or not is so much fun. The Passenger was pretty interesting. The movie marathon was fun, but I’m still recovering from it. It’s like I can’t get enough sleep. The Americans is really good. I didn’t think I liked it at first, but then after the first 3-4 episodes I was hooked, and have been ever since. I can’t wait for the new season!

I’ve always wanted to read it, and now can finally do just that. The topic has always interested me. Plus, there will be a talk in April for the book. It will be interesting to see what others think about it. Thanks for stopping by!

  2. I watched the firsts episode of The American’s and want to continue. Looking forward to House of Cards. Just brought home The Passenger. Hope this week isn’t was crazy for you with plenty of reading time.

I think I’m still recovering from the movie marathon. The Americans is so awesome! This new season looks fantastic! I haven’t started HOC yet. I think I’ll wait until I’m off for spring break. Then I can binge. Have a great week!

This week is parent/teacher conferences, but so far it’s off to a good start. I’m getting a lot done. If only I could see my eyes open to read. LOL! Pajama day was the best day ever! My students and I were so comfy, and had a fun time. Enjoy your week 🙂

Aren’t they awful?!? That’s part of the reason I like it. I’m that girl. Villains are always my fav. Usually, anyway. It’s so much fun seeing what new horror they try to perpetrate, and waiting for them to get caught. Have a great week!

  3. I couldn’t find your blog on the linkup list this week but tracked it down anyway… (I might have just missed it!)

It sounds like you had a lot on last week, which is why you didn’t get as much reading etc done, so hopefully this week improves.

I’m keen to see The Family but god only knows when it will reach Australia!

Aww… thanks for finding me 🙂 Yeah, the Family is really good. I’m impressed. However, based on the first episode, I can’t see how it will extend beyond one season. Hopefully you’ll start getting episodes soon.

I hope I get more reading done, too! I feel like I’m playing catch up all the time, which I hate.

  4. Sounds like there was some fun stuff going on at school! I think my school ever had a pajama day, which is unfortunate lol. You definitely sound like you were productive though! Work stuff counts as being productive for sure. Though I do understand it’s disappointing when you don’t have time for reading or writing out or things like that. Maybe you’ll actually get some free time this week 🙂
