THE WEEK IN REVIEW: (MARCH 13TH – 19TH)

The Week in Review

I decided that I would do a weekly recap, and link up with The Sunday Post, which is a weekly meme hosted by Kimba @ hosted by Caffeinated Book Reviewer, that was inspired in part by In My Mailbox. It’s a post to recap the past week, showcase books and things we have received and share news about what is coming up for the week on our blog. My last week before spring break went by pretty fast. My students were very well behaved, and we began a new social studies project about the American Revolution that they’re really enjoying. We also celebrated St. Patrick’s Day, as well as some birthdays.

In my personal life, things were pretty low key. I came home, and chilled, and finally finished my The X-Files marathon. Yay! Now I’m into Daredevil. With a week off next week, I plan to catch up on a lot of television and books. On Friday, I went to a spin class. It’s been a long time since I’ve done that, but since it’s one of my doctor’s approved exercises since my injury, I figured it would be ok to jump in. Besides, one of my co-workers teaches the class, and has been inviting me for a while. It was lots of fun, but also kicked my ass. LOL! However, I need to get back to working out again, because I’ve gained too much weight since I’ve been convalescing. Saturday, my friend came for a visit. We went to The Boiling Crab in K-Town, then went to see Deadpool. It was the first time she’d seen it, and didn’t have anyone who wanted to see it, but I didn’t mind watching it again. It’s still hilarious. Overall, I had a pretty good week 🙂

OK, I was worried it was just me. Hawk seemed like such a douche for a lot of the book. I get he was hurt, but he could have handled things way better than he did. I finished Daredevil, and loved season 2! So much more action-packed, and darker than season 1 if that’s even possible. Thanks for stopping by!

  1. I’ve got to watch The X-Files and Daredevil. These both look really good. I’ve always wanted to try a spin class and I bet it was tough. It’s good you are finding other ways to get some exercise. I hope you have a great week!

They are really good! I definitely recommend them both. Spin class is fun. It looks intimidating, but it’s really not. You’re only competing against yourself. I’m tying to find new workouts. It’s time to stop being lazy, and get back in shape. Thanks! Have a great week, too!

Yeah, I was trying to wait for Glass Sword, but since I happened to be at the book store… LOL! I’m going to see if I can fit in another book this week. Since I’m off, it shouldn’t be a problem.

Hawke wasn’t as likable as the other guys. It wasn’t bad, but I hate when people lack communication, and yet they’re supposed to be each other’s OTP. Really?

  2. I’ve been binge-watching this hilariously addicting anime show called Kuroko’s Basketball – yeah! Who would have ever thought that Anime and basketball would make an engrossing duo 😀

I’m curious about Daredevil, but there has always a serious rivalry in my life between DC and Marvel that has blanketed my urge to delve into the Marvel world ha! I hope you have a fabulous week ahead!

It’s funny. With the exception of The X-Men, I’ve always been a pretty DC oriented comics reader, but I prefer Marvel films. Thanks! Have a great week as well.

I know what you mean. Now that I’ve devoured Daredevil, I’m going to catch up on regular tv that I’ve missed, before I head back to Netflix for House of Cards.

  3. I’ve heard good things about the TV series Daredevil but haven’t watched it. Am very keen to see Deadpool though so must get myself off to that before it disappears from cinemas and appears via DVD!

Both are really good, but very different. Dead pool is hilarious as hell! I laughed from beginning to end. Daredevil is darker, and more mysterious. Definitely a show to watch in the dark, due to all of the night fight scenes.

I loved it! The Punisher and Elektra were both great, and I liked the even darker tone of the show. I wonder what’s in store for s3…
