I decided that I would do a weekly recap, and link up with The Sunday Post, which is a weekly meme hosted by Kimba @ hosted by Caffeinated Book Reviewer, that was inspired in part by In My Mailbox. It’s a post to recap the past week, showcase books and things we have received and share news about what is coming up for the week on our blog. Last week I was on Spring Break, so I used the time to catch up on my reading, hang with friends/family, watch Netflix, and play Call of Duty. It was everything I’ve ever wanted! Having said that, I pretty much stayed away from the internet unless I was watching YouTube or fooling around Pinterest and Easy.

excited for… / watching…
Even though it came out in 2012, I bought this DVD for my students. It’s produced by the same people who made America: The Story of Us, which they love, and Amazon had it for only $10. Once we finish America, I figure I can get them ready for 6th grade with some world history. I’ve been watching it to make sure it’s appropriate for them, and now I’m hooked. Such a good production, and I’m learning a lot. If you haven’t seen it, I suggest you check it out.

Mankind: The story of Us does look good, I think I saw a promo for that but never did see it. I’ll bet that would be great for the classroom. And glad spring break was nice. Too bad it’s not always spring break right? lol.

Exactly! I think the break was helpful in allowing me to relax, but bad because now I long even more for summer ;( Haha! Mankind is pretty good. I finished it yesterday. I think my students will really enjoy it. I’m so glad I found it for so cheap on Amazon. If you’re into history, you should definitely check it out.
I have heard great things about The Star-Touched Queen, I hope you enjoy it! Have a great week. 🙂
