The Week in Review

I decided that I would do a weekly recap, and link up with The Sunday Post, which is a weekly meme hosted by Kimba @ hosted by Caffeinated Book Reviewer, that was inspired in part by In My Mailbox. It’s a post to recap the past week, showcase books and things we have received and share news about what is coming up for the week on our blog. This past week seemed to fly by so fast, that I kept feeling like I was running to catch up with time. Having said that, I didn’t get much done. No working out, and no visiting of blogs. Plus, it didn’t help that I was passing out super early every night. I think I’m just so over this school year. 41 school days to go… *le sigh*

On the bookish front, I didn’t get much done reading (see above), but I did manage to finish The Beast Saturday night. Hopefully, I can finish Sunblind before I go to bed tomorrow night. I’m trying to get ahead with my ARCs, plus there’s so many new books I want to read *glares at The Winner’s Kiss on bookshelf* Hopefully, my friend Coffee will be good to me this week, and let me stay up until a normal bedtime. Somehow, I think my addiction has gotten too bad as I’m back to drinking a pot a day, and still falling asleep at 7:30 PM. One can dream!

excited for… / watching…

Both Quantico and Scandal have left me panting for the next new episode with the episodes that aired this past week. I can’t wait to see what’s going to happen. Sadly, I’m going to have to wait to find out as Scandal won’t are for two weeks, and the Fear the Walking Dead premiere will have my attention Sunday night. Choices…. choices….

  1. THE BEAST! I really need to catch up with that series, I am SO BEHIND!

41 days!! Counting down. 🙂 Have a great week, I hope things are better!

The Beast was so good! I was worried for a bit that the series was getting a little tired, but the last couple books have been really good. You definitely need to catch up! Thanks! Things are better at work. I’m just ready for summer. Have a great week!

Oh, good! I also have the Haunting of Blackwood House. I downloaded that one before Gillespie was chosen for the read-along. TWD was jaw-droppingly crazy! I can’t believe we have to wait until October to find out what happens next 🙁 LOL! I enjoyed FTWD on Sunday. It’s not the same, though. The vibe is a little calmer.

Oh, really? Did you catch the marathon Sunday on AMC? I saw the first season of Fear, but I watched the marathon to remember what happened. I hope you get caught up!

  2. So I am like the only person who hasn’t read BDB at all. I downloaded a sample of book one and I liked it so hopefully I will start the series soon!
F451 is a great book! My sophomore students read it each year and I always enjoy it. They think dystopian started with The Hunger Games!
    Have a great week!

BDB is so good! If you liked the sample you had, then you’ll definitely like the rest of the series. I can read the entire thing in two weeks if I’m on vacation, because they’re so hard to put down 🙂

F451 was pretty good! I hadn’t read it in school, but always wanted to. My students also had to get schooled on dystopian literature this year, I forgot why, but since they’re 5th graders I think F451 would be over their heads. I do have THG in my classroom though. Thanks for stopping by!

  3. I watched Quantico last season and have been recording this season but yet to watch it. I’m not sure why I’m holding off. I didn’t LOVE the show but if there’s not much else on I enjoy it.

I envy you your sleepiness as I’m the opposite and still awake at 2-3am at the moment. I don’t work every day but when I have to it’s a struggle to get through the day!

OMG, my sleepiness is beyond! I’m quite literally passing out. One minute I’m reading, on the computer, or watching tv. The next thing I know I’m face down in my bed. I hardly get anything done at night! I’ll bet you that as soon as I’m on summer vacation, I’ll be up all night reading. Doh! Hopefully, you’ll finally find a pattern, and sleep through the night.

Quantize actually got better once they started revealing more about the bombing. I’m hooked now, whereas I just watched whenever. I wasn’t even sure I’d keep watching after the hiatus. Can’t wait to see what you think once you’ve watched the new eps!

I’m curious about it, too! It sounds interesting, as does the other Haunting book in the series (?). I think the third connects the first two, but I’m not sure. So far, the week has been nice. No sandals yet, but I get to walk around without a coat. That’s a plus! Have a great week!
