I decided that I would do a weekly recap, and link up with The Sunday Post, which is a weekly meme hosted by Kimba @ hosted by Caffeinated Book Reviewer, that was inspired in part by In My Mailbox. It’s a post to recap the past week, showcase books and things we have received and share news about what is coming up for the week on our blog.
The first half of this week flew by. Monday and Tuesday we practiced for culmination, and that ate up most of our day. Then, Wednesday was the big day. The ceremony was wonderful, and the kids all looked amazing. After they left, my principal let all the 5th grade teachers leave for the day, and we went out to lunch, where I had the best Margarita I’ve had in a long time. After Wednesday, the rest of the week was kind of down hill from there.
Thursday and Friday I essentially baby sat the students who came back for the last two days of the school year. Since my room was already packed up, I basically had nothing to do all day. It was so boring! Luckily, Friday the kids got out early, so I had the last two hours to do whatever before I was able to leave. Translation: my friends and I went to Roscoe’s and had chicken and waffles. Yum! When I arrived home, I had some packages waiting for me.
Saturday, I ironed all of my clothes I planned on taking on my trip. Then I packed. I bought a new piece of luggage, and ordered packing cubes so that I could take as many clothes as possible without the weight. I only plan to take one piece of luggage, so this worked out well for me. Not only did I manage to get all of my clothes packed, but I still have plenty of room for my toiletries. Even though I don’t leave until Wednesday night on the Red Eye, I wanted to pack early in case I ran into any problems.

As you may already know if you’ve been reading my blog, I’m heading out-of-town for the next two and a half weeks. I’m going to Michigan to visit my mom, and then we’re flying to Japan. With that said, the blog will be pretty vacant until I return, save a few Top Ten Tuesday and book review posts I have already scheduled. Hopefully you don’t forget me! LOL! Enjoy the rest of June, and I’ll see you all in July!
