The Week in Review

I decided that I would do a weekly recap, and link up with The Sunday Post, which is a weekly meme hosted by Kimba @ hosted by Caffeinated Book Reviewer, that was inspired in part by In My Mailbox. It’s a post to recap the past week, showcase books and things we have received and share news about what is coming up for the week on our blog. This week I went unofficially back to work. I attended meetings every day, and worked on my classroom during the afternoon. It was a long week, but I’m glad I did it. Now I don’t feel stressed about beginning the new year, even though I still have a few things to do before the kids return to school this coming Tuesday. Aside from work I mostly read some ARCs I wanted to get out-of-the-way, marathoned season 1 of  Zoo, saw Suicide Squad, and waited for packages to arrive in the mail.

I finally decided to buy JLA’s Torn. I wasn’t the biggest fan of Wicked, but it was $3, so…🙄. I also downloaded Plague of the Dead from the library. I read it 5 years ago(?), but can’t remember what happened. At least not enough to read the 2nd and 3rd books I bought on Amazon Prime Day. For some reason I thought I owned this book, but I can’t find it on any of my devices. I guess I borrowed it the first time as well.

I’ve set up my room for the most part, and my students look like a decent bunch. Maybe one or two who need special attention, but that’s loads better than last year’s 10. Good luck to you as well!

  1. I liked season 1 of Zoo although I’m having trouble getting into season 2. And I’m jealous you saw Suicide Squad. Is it good? I keep hearing mixed things. And I like that cover of Torn.

I’m really curious where Fear The Walking Dead is going t ogo…

Man, I’m sorry to hear about Zoo season 2! Season 1 was so good. Suicide Squad was entertaining, but I think it might be difficult to follow if you don’t read the comics, and already know who they are and why them being put together is so major. DC still hasn’t figured out how to make a great film. Overall, I enjoyed it.

I’m curious about the second half of FTWD as well. With the way things ended, I wonder how long they’ll be divided.
