The Week in Review

I decided that I would do a weekly recap, and link up with The Sunday Post, which is a weekly meme hosted by Kimba @ hosted by Caffeinated Book Reviewer, that was inspired in part by In My Mailbox. It’s a post to recap the past week, showcase books and things we have received and share news about what is coming up for the week on our blog. This week was my first full week with students, and boy was it tiring! I found myself passing out early even night (before 9PM, and even before 8PM one night), which made it difficult to finish my book. Luckily, I finally got it done on Friday. I’m so invested in it, that I can’t wait to start the final book in the series, as well as my book club selection below. Other than work, not much happened in my personal life, other than catching up with this season of Tyrant, which has been amazing! As I head in to next week, I’m really excited for the upcoming four-day Labor Day weekend. Sad, but true. #TeacherProblems

excited for…

My favorite part of the fall season is FX Networks‘ American Horror Story promos. They’re so beautifully creepy, and artistic, that I get excited for the new season. Sadly, sometimes the season isn’t as riveting as the promos, but I still get caught up in everything. What I really love, is how FX comes out with a new mini-film daily to keep viewers interested in the next installment. It’s always fun trying to figure out the season’s new theme. I’m not sure, but this season makes me think of 80’s horror. Check out the latest promos below, and decide for yourself.

So far, so good. I’m lucky, because I’ll get a four-day weekend. Woo hoo! I hope this week is going better for you as well 🙂

OMG, I don’t know how you do it! I used to be able to stay up until midnight, and still wake up at 4:30/5AM for work. But I think those days have passed for me. I kind of wish they didn’t, because I keep thinking about how much more it seemed I got accomplished. LOL!

My favorite AHS seasons are 1, 3, and 5. For some reason, I tend to like the odd seasons more. Considering this is season 6, this probably doesn’t bode well for me. I hope I’m wrong, because the promos are amazing! If you check it out, I’d love to know what your favorite seasons are.

  1. Yeah bring on Labor Day ! lol I can imagine how exhausting it would be to have students. That show looks like a trip, I’ve never seen it but I think Netflix has it? It sounds familiar.

I love that cover of The Immortal Rules from your TTT post.

OMG, YOU haven’t seen AHS? I would have thought it would be right up your alley. Last I checked the show was on Netflix, so I think you’re right. I really need to go back and watch season 4, because I didn’t complete the entire season. Mostly, because it was about a carnival, and clowns scare me.

  2. The first week back is probably always the most tiring, right? I know it always was as a student lol. Trying to adjust again. But at least you’ve been reading some great books!

I’ve never watched American Horror Story. Seems a little too freaky for me lol. I can handle creepy things in books but not TV shows or movies 😛

    Have a great week!

It’s really freaky, and very unpredictable, which makes it even creepier to me. I would think you would be another fan, because of the books you read. LOL! I find watching horror on tv is easier than reading. I tend to get more nightmares from books. Thanks for stopping by!

OMG, Criminal Minds scares the bejesus out of me! I’ll never forget the one about two brothers kidnapping and raping women, and feeding them to pigs. Not too long ago I decided to start at the beginning of the series, and only made it 5 episodes in. Ha!
