I decided that I would do a weekly recap, and link up with The Sunday Post, which is a weekly meme hosted by Kimba @ hosted by Caffeinated Book Reviewer, that was inspired in part by In My Mailbox. It’s a post to recap the past week, showcase books and things we have received and share news about what is coming up for the week on our blog.
Another boring week of testing, but since it flew by I don’t have many complaints. This week was pretty boring as a whole, actually. I went to the Orthodontist on Tuesday hoping to get my braces removed. No suck luck 🙁 On the bright side, they did take a mold of my teeth for my retainer and I did set a date to have them finally taken off. Ugh, waiting sucks! Aside from this, I mostly read some good books and passed crazy early during the week. On Saturday I finally went to see Fate of the Furious. I won’t claim it to be the best film in the series, but I enjoyed it very much and plan to add it to my collection once it’s released on DVD.
This week I’ve decided to begin borrowing books from the library via Overdrive again. Since I have cards for both the Los Angeles Public Library and the County of Los Angeles Library, this helps me from driving all around town looking for books. Plus, free! Can’t beat that! Not only that, it’s given me the opportunity to try out authors I’ve been wanting to try without the fear of wasting my money. Luckily, that didn’t happen with either Alexander Gordon Smith or Sherrilyn Kenyon as I enjoyed the first books in both of these series very much. So much, in fact, that I immediately downloaded the second book in Kenyon’s Dark-Hunter universe, and have holds placed on the third, as well as the sequel to Smith’s Lockdown.

One of my all-time favorite films is Alien, so of course, I’m eagerly anticipating the next film in the franchise. Though I had to watch Prometheus many times before it grew on me, Covenant looks crazy good.
