THE WEEK IN REVIEW: Back to Basics (January 2nd – January 6th)

Posted January 7, 2018 by @Angelized_1st in Books, Entertainment, Memes, The Sunday Post / 4 Comments

I decided that I would do a weekly recap, and link up with The Sunday Post, which is a weekly meme hosted by Kimba @ hosted by Caffeinated Book Reviewer, that was inspired in part by In My Mailbox. It’s a post to recap the past week, showcase books and things we have received and share news about what is coming up for the week on our blog.

Happy New Year! My holiday was lovely, but I’m glad it’s over. What I’m not happy to see end is my winter break. Unfortunately, I have to go back to work on Monday 🙁 This past week I’ve been resting up from the holiday madness, and enjoying some downtime. I also have been watching more tv. I’m still in a reading slump, but partly because I’m reading two books that I just can’t get into. As of today, I’ve decided to DNF. I just bought a bunch of books on sale that seem really good, and there are too many new books coming out this year to waste my time on books that don’t interest me. As I stated after the new year, I plan to return to my blog. Even though I may be reading more books that I already own, I think the reading challenges will help me with keeping active. I’m excited about a new year, and a return to writing. I’ve missed it, and this community of bloggers.

  1. As hard as it is to give up on books sometimes, I think it’s something we have to do when it’s affecting our reading overall. I hope you are able to find something more to your liking now! Your new books all look good. I really enjoyed Practical Magic when I read it. Good luck with your challenges! I am hoping to read more classics this year as well. I hope you have a great year, Tiffany! Enjoy your week.
