I decided that I would do a weekly recap, and link up with The Sunday Post, which is a weekly meme hosted by Kimba @ hosted by Caffeinated Book Reviewer, that was inspired in part by In My Mailbox. It’s a post to recap the past week, showcase books and things we have received and share news about what is coming up for the week on our blog.
This week flew by pretty fast. So fast that it seemed over before I knew it. I was feeling much better, though still a little congested and was able to get more accomplished in the beginning of the week. Then I discovered I wasn’t completely healed when I was worn out by Wednesday. Instead of fighting it I gave in and went to sleep crazy early. Since I was focused on work, I didn’t do as much for the blog as I originally planned, nor did I finish re-reading Iron Gold. This week I hope to get more accomplished as I need to catch up with everything I let fall by the wayside last week. I’m sure it will be a busy week, as I think February will be a busy month for me.
Saturday was the busiest day of my week. I had an early morning hair appointment that I didn’t really need. I thought I needed to go and get a deep conditioning and a trim, but my stylist told me that I had been taking such good care of my hair that none was needed. I still let her wash my hair, though, since it had been three months since I last saw her. Then I treated myself to breakfast. For some reason, I was craving french toast and plantains. It was nice to eat out and people watch. I finally returned home so I could finish January’s book club selection before heading to the meeting. However, since I woke up crazy early, I began dozing on it. Luckily, I did manage to complete it for the meeting. The meeting was good, but I was disappointed the author arrived an hour late. I ended up having to leave the Q&A portion of the meeting because I had a nail appointment. I finally got a chance to rest at 8 pm, and I began watching Netflix’s latest series, Altered Carbon. Overall, it was a really nice end to a really good week.
