Top Ten Tuesday: Books I’ve Decided I’m No Longer Interested In Reading

Posted February 20, 2018 by @Angelized_1st in Memes, Top Ten Tuesday / 3 Comments

Top Ten Tuesday was created by The Broke and the Bookish in June of 2010 and was moved to That Artsy Reader Girl in January of 2018. It was born of a love of lists, a love of books, and a desire to bring bookish friends together.

How it works:

I assign each Tuesday a topic and then post my top ten list that fits that topic. You’re more than welcome to join me and create your own top ten (or 2, 5, 20, etc.) list as well. Feel free to put a unique spin on the topic to make it work for you! Please link back to That Artsy Reader Girl in your own post so that others know where to find more information.

There’s nothing wrong with these books. I’m sure they’re all wonderful. However, I no longer have a desire to read them. There are just too many other books out there that I’d rather read. Thirst, Crimson Bound, and Sinner are all books a part of series I began reading. In the case of these books, I either don’t feel the need to read them, or wasn’t overly awed by what I’ve read so far. Others may be movies/tv shows I’ve seen that didn’t compel me to pick up their source material. Either way, it’s time to trim my Goodreads TBR.

I think part of the reason I lost interest in Eat Pray Love is that I ended up seeing the movie before I got a chance to read it, and really enjoyed it. When that happens, I often don’t bother with the book. I learned my lesson the hard way from reading The Bourne Identity after seeing the film. Totally enjoyed the film series more.
