THE WEEK IN REVIEW: “Tattoo Fever” (MARCH 11TH – MARCH 17TH)

Posted March 18, 2018 by @Angelized_1st in Memes, The Sunday Post / 13 Comments

I decided that I would do a weekly recap, and link up with The Sunday Post, which is a weekly meme hosted by Kimba @ hosted by Caffeinated Book Reviewer, that was inspired in part by In My Mailbox. It’s a post to recap the past week, showcase books and things we have received and share news about what is coming up for the week on our blog.

Last week was very painful. My body did not handle the time change well, and I spent the week praying for Daylight Savings to be abolished forever. I’m also still sick with a cold, so the change didn’t help with my recovery. Work was pretty good, and I finally got my nails done. After 6 weeks, I was looking like the dragon lady and had my nails cut off. It’s been years since I’ve had short nails, and it’s been a learning curve. I’m so used to typing with my nails, that I feel weird working a keyboard without them, but I’m beginning to get the hang of it.

Saturday, I attended the Tattoo exhibit at the Natural History Museum for a class I’m taking for work. It was really amazing! As someone who has always been interested in the history of the art, and has some of my own to boot, I really enjoyed seeing how the art has changed over the past 5000 years. I think I spent close to two hours in there looking at the photos, videos, and paraphernalia. They even had an actual tattoo parlor inside with featured artists appearing throughout the exhibit’s run! Of course, while I was there I had to see some of the other exhibits. Including, my favorite, the mammal dioramas.

The tattoo exhibit was pretty cool. I’ve been recommending it to everyone. Sorry for the late reply! I hope you had a wonderful week 🙂

Even though I’m artistic, I never stop being awed by other people’s talent. I have tattoos, but not over large expanses of my body. I can’t imagine doing that, but it does look beautiful when done right. Almost like living art. I really think this exhibit is great for all people, even those who don’t care for tattoos. The history of it was just amazing!

I agree wholeheartedly about demolishing daylight savings. It’s stupid lol.
Sorry you felt icky, hope you’re feeling better now.

Thanks, Ash! I’m mostly better. I just can’t get rid of this awful cough. Hope you had a great week!

You’re absolutely right! I did perk up at having my nails freshly manicured. The exhibit was so outstanding! I’ve been recommending it to everyone.
