I decided that I would do a weekly recap, and link up with The Sunday Post, which is a weekly meme hosted by Kimba @ hosted by Caffeinated Book Reviewer, that was inspired in part by In My Mailbox. It’s a post to recap the past week, showcase books and things we have received and share news about what is coming up for the week on our blog.
Last week was my first week back after spring break. You’d think it’d be smooth sailing, but the school year is almost over so there’s lots to be done. I basically had to reread my students classroom routines, because they wanted to pretend they forgot. Little people always keep you on your toes. Plus, we all weren’t used to getting up so early and were being cranky. By Friday the kids began acting like their normal selves. Kinda. Overall, it was still a good week for them.
On the personal front, I was so tired that I hardly read. When I did it was A Storm of Swords for the 4th time. I didn’t finish it, but am a lot closer to being finished. Sadly, I have no intention of writing another review on it, so my blogging was basically nil. I also have a book I need to review going on a month now, but I’ve been too tired to do it. Maybe today…
On Saturday, I went downtown to the GRAMMY museum as a field trip I’m taking for this class for work. It was pretty cool, but also a bit spartan. I seemed like a lot of things were missing, but the displays they had were very well done. Since there was a game yesterday and tons of construction going on I took the Metro. The train has become my only way to hit up downtown. Those who snub their nose up at it paid $30 for parking. I hope they carpooled! Meanwhile, my $3.50 was more time consuming, but I got to, pocket the difference.

I enjoy catching a commute. It saves money, you don’t have to fight the traffic or try to remember where you parked. LOL Sounds like a good but tiring week. I hope you’re weekend was relaxing. And yes to another school year ending. It’ll been done before you know it.

It’s always tough getting back into the swing of things after a break. The museum looks cool though! But ugh, parking fees are just ridiculous sometimes! Glad you found a way to save some money 🙂
