Flawless: Pretty Little Liars Book #2 Review

Posted January 15, 2012 by @Angelized_1st in Books / 0 Comments

I know my next book was supposed to be The Exorcist, and I am reading it. As you know, I’ve put two of the series I’ve been reading on my library’s waitlist – Vampire Academy and Pretty Little Liars. While reading The Exorcist, “Flawless” became available.

“Flawless” is the second book in Sara Shepard’s Pretty Little Liars book series. It picks up right where we left off in the first book. Four girls (Aria, Emily, Spencer, and Hannah) are being blackmailed by the mysterious “A.” Who is “A,” and what does she want with them?

The television series (season 1) is almost the same as the book until the end. Something major happened that threw me for a loop. Part of me is excited to see how the books will diverge from the show, but part of me is sad. One of the storylines I love from the show won’t happen in the books. Then again, some times they take two or more characters from books, and combine them into one new character for the sake of the television show / film. Who knows? Maybe something even better will happen. I guess I’ll find out when I get book #3. Which will probably be in 2-3 weeks based on how long it’s taken me to get my other waitlisted books.

While I wait for book #3, “Perfect,” I’ll go back to The Exorcist. Also on my to-read list: The Vampire Diaries – Stefan’s Diaries: The Asylum which will be released on Tuesday, January 17th. Also on my list is Vampire Academy: Frostbite, which I’m next on the list to receive. As of now I still have 57 more books to go to reach my goal for 2012. At this rate I think I’ll make it.
