OK boys and girls I just finished Spirit Bound this morning, and am already chomping at the bit to start book 6, Last Sacrifice.

Now that Rose and Lissa are together again, the pair are trying to figure out their post-graduation lives. Lissa will be headed to college in the fall, but will Rose be able to join her? Besides figuring out their academic futures the girls are also struggling with their romantic lives.

Lissa is still estranged from Christian, but the love between them obviously hasn’t died. Rose is also in a romantic bind. Once she believed that Dimitri would be lost to her forever, but new information leads her to hope that there could still be a chance. Unfortunately, she has already begun a new romance. Growing up has never been this hard.

Book 6, Last Sacrifice, is the last book in the Vampire Academy series. Here is the synopsis:

It all comes down to now.

Murder. Love. Jealousy. And the ultimate sacrifice.

The Queen is dead and the Moroi world will never be the same. Now, with Rose awaiting wrongful execution and Lissa in a deadly struggle for the royal throne, the girls find themselves forced to rely upon enemies and to question those they thought they could trust…

But what if true freedom means sacrificing the most important thing of all?

Each other.

It appears that some of the characters I have grown to love may not survive. Richelle Mead is not one to shy away from killing of main characters, so losing someone I hold dear is a distinct possibility. Here’s hoping I’m wrong.

So Vampire Academy fans, whose your favorite character? Is the Bloodlines series worth checking out? Sound off in the comments below!
