I decided that I would do a weekly recap, and link up with The Sunday Post, which is a weekly meme hosted by Kimba @ hosted by Caffeinated Book Reviewer, that was inspired in part by In My Mailbox. It’s a post to recap the past week, showcase books and things we have received and share news about what is coming up for the week on our blog.
As I near the end of the school year, I’m trying to prepare my students for their upcoming assessments. They got the chance to visit the computer lab for one more week, and were really happy with that. The week flew by pretty fast, which was great because I had plans to go to the Ultimate Captain America Marathon. That was super fun, and the new film was outstanding. Sadly, I’m still not recovered from the 14+ hour film fest. This week testing begins, and I’m taking my students on a field trip, so it should be another nice week. With only 5 more weeks to go, I’m getting more and more antsy.

Oh, you must be a week ahead of me. My students take theirs next week, and we have four more weeks. My week has been well so far, and I hope the rest fly by, too. Hope your week was good as well!
Glad to hear Captain america was good, I’m jealous at all those who’ve already seen it lol. That marathon sounds fun, but 14 hours… yikes that’s long. 🙂 I think I’d OD on the popcorn?
I’ll watch for your review of Admiral, I’ve seen a couple already and it sounds promising…

I love marathons, so it wasn’t a big deal for me. I do them all the time. However, I was pretty wise about my food choices, and didn’t have popcorn until later in the day. Many had some at 7AM. Yuck! I hope you get out to see CA soon. It’s worth repeated viewings, and I may go again this weekend.
Oh, getting your students ready for assessment sounds kinda hard, but hopefully the testing period is a bit less full-on for you.
The field trips sound good though!

Things have been pretty easy in that regard, as the students want to do well on the tests. Yet, all of the other stuff is stressful. Culmination still isn’t fully planned and it’s less than a month away. The field trip was wonderful, though. We went today. The kids loved it!
Haha! I didn’t make it to the marathon… I’m not that dedicated! I do plan to see Civil War again tomorrow though, and I can hardly wait! Awesome books this week! I hope you love them!

Ha! The marathon was something else. Last time they had one for Captain America, it was just the first and second film. Playing them all with the Avengers films was actually very good, because I caught connections I’d missed previously. I’m so exhausted lately finishing out the school year, that my reading has been falling off a bit, but I can’t wait to get my hands on all my new books.
