2016 Top Ten Tuesday

Top Ten Tuesday is a weekly meme hosted by The Broke and the Bookish, and this week’s Top Ten Tuesday topic is “Books on My Fall TBR.” Most of these books have made an appearance on earlier lists, but these are still my most anticipated books for the remainder of 2016. I currently have a copy of  Heartless that I got this year at Yallwest, but I’m chomping at the bit to buy the other five. What are your Top Books on Your Fall TBR?

  1. YES Magnus Chase! I have mixed feelings about Heartless; I loved the Lunar Chronicles, but I’m not a big fan of books about villains. They’re interesting, but depressing because you know it’s not headed anywhere good. So…still trying to decide if I want to read that one or not. I’ll probably wait for the reviews.

Really? I love books about villains! It’s so interesting to see what turned them bad, and why they do what they do.

      • I don’t mind that within a book or film, when the villain isn’t the protagonist (or the only protagonist), but I have a hard time with books where the villain is the protagonist, or where you know the protagonist is going to become this horrible villain and there’s no possibility of redemption. I really need the books I read to offer hope, I guess.

It’s funny, but every time I read a book where the protagonist is a villain, I keep hoping for a different outcome. When it doesn’t happen, I feel stupid. Hahaha!
