The Week in Review

I decided that I would do a weekly recap, and link up with The Sunday Post, which is a weekly meme hosted by Kimba @ hosted by Caffeinated Book Reviewer, that was inspired in part by In My Mailbox. It’s a post to recap the past week, showcase books and things we have received and share news about what is coming up for the week on our blog. Last week was another short week, and it flew by.

Monday and Tuesday was business as usual, but I did receive my copy of The Midnight Star from Amazon. I haven’t read it yet, because I’m trying to get all of my November ARCs out of the way since I’ve been having a hard time finishing books quickly. Wednesday I was off, so I hung out with my friend. We went to lunch, and then caught The Magnificent Seven. It was really good, and pretty funny at times. I didn’t expect that. Thursday was a bit rough as I had to wrangle the kids back into being in school. I can’t wait for us to begin school later again. All of these breaks make it difficult to get the kids back into learning mode. However difficult the day was, I ended up receiving my Scholastic order, so that brighten the day. Like The Midnight Star, my new Magnus Chase is on the shelf. Friday was pretty easy as I had a science training. It was pretty fun, and I learned a lot.

Hahaha! You’re so right! We have so many breaks this time of year, they tend to do a lot better after winter break.

  1. The Midnight Star looks really good, and that cover- I could frame that . lol I’ve never read Young Elites anything but I just got a swag pack in the mail that I won somewhere and it has a Young Elites sampler in it, so I’ll check that out. People have said those books rock.

I thought The Magnificent Seven looked good, I’m sometimes skeptical of the remakes but if it’s getting good buzz I may need to see it.

I haven’t gotten around to The Midnight Star as of yet, but I’m excited to see what happens next. You should definitely check it out. I love the original film for The Magnificent Seven, but the remake was really fun and enjoyable. I’d love to see what you think of it.

I hope I enjoy The Midnight Star as well. It’s such a good series, that I’ll be disappointed if it doesn’t end well. Hope you’ve had a great week!
