Top Ten Tuesday: Top Ten New-To-Me Authors I Read For The First Time In 2016

2016 Top Ten Tuesday

Top Ten Tuesday is a weekly meme hosted by The Broke and the Bookish, and this week’s Top Ten Tuesday topic is about new (to me) authors the I’ve discovered in 2016. While several of the authors below have been around for a while, for some reason or other I’ve never read any of their work. This year it all changed as I decided to step out my comfort zone and check out authors whose books have had a lot of hype around. Some of the books I liked more than others, yet nevertheless, it was great finding new authors. Even if they were only new to me.

I received the Linwood Barclay as an ARC, but now I want to go back and read more of his work. Emma Donoghue’s Room was pretty good as well.

  1. Ooooh great list! I loved Sabaa’s, Roshani’s, and Renee’s! I didn’t read them this year for the first time (well except Roshani because we all did 😉 ) but still, LOVE. I also need to finish the Gone series by Michael Grant AND start Front Lines! And I really want to read Marieke’s book too! Fabulous choices, glad you found some new great authors!

Yeah, it’s been a great year for me literary wise. I can’t wait to see what new authors I discover in 2017! The Gone series was so good. I’d love to see what you think about it once you’ve finished.

I really need to continue on with Lyga’s series. I enjoyed the first book, and meant to, but there have been just so many books to read. LOL!
